Report on migration to regular observation using equipment installed on Venus Climate Orbiter Akatsuki (PLANET-C)
The Japanese Aerospace Exporation agency (JAXA) announces that the measurement instruments installed on the Venus Climate Orbiter Akatsuki (PLANET-C) have been migrated to regular observation and measurement. After confirming the functionality of the measurement instruments and optimizing them through adjustments made with test trials, we confirmed that the fidelity of the filters and image resolution, among other performance metrics, matched that initially estimated before the launch, so we decided to migrate to regular observation.
